Fatty acid–binding proteins (FABPs) bind unsaturated fatty acids and lipid peroxidation
products during tissue injury from hypoxia. We evaluated the potential role of L-type FABP (L-
FABP) as a biomarker of renal ischemia in both human kidney transplant patients and
