Mass spectrometric analysis of human plasma and urine revealed abundant nitrated
derivatives of all principal unsaturated fatty acids. Nitrated palmitoleic, oleic, linoleic,
linolenic, arachidonic and eicosapentaenoic acids were detected in concert with their
